Intereses Académicos
Yo me concentro en dos campos de investigación:
1) Teoria de Control. Desarrollo teoría para la estabilización de sistemas lineales con restricciones en las entradas de control y en los estados de la planta. Mediante técnicas geométricas (conjuntos invariantes) hemos logrado construir algoritmos de control que satisfacen las restricciones de tipo saturación en las entradas manipuladas. Hemos probado también, que tales algoritmos de control son robustos contra ciertas clases de perturbaciones (H-inf y L1).
2) Control Robusto de Procesos Químicos. En este proyecto, me concentro en casos de estudio interesantes desde los puntos de vista académico y/o industrial. Aquí la idea es desarrollar técnicas de control ad hoc que exploten las características dinámicas de la planta. Columnas de destilación mal condicionadas y reactores químicos exotérmicos son algunos ejemplos de casos que hemos estudiado.
